Coffee at Three

Coffee, best drink anyone has ever come up with. It's three in the morning, and I'm making some right now.

What makes coffee so, well, amazing?

Well, to start lets see why coffee keeps us awake to begin with...

Leading researchers in the field have concluded that caffeine pretty effectively blocks the adenosine from being processed in your brain. Adenosine is a byproduct of moving around. Caffeine, being structurally similar to adenosine, blocks its drowsy effects.

Enough about caffeine though, after all, it really isn't the whole of the reason coffee is so good.

No, not at all.

As a matter of fact, regular coffee intake can slash your chances of getting Diabetes in HALF. This magic potion can cut your chances of getting Parkinson's by 80%. That's only the beginning though, it also gives you a 25% reduced risk of colon cancer, an 80% drop in liver cirrhosis risk, and nearly 50% reduced risk of gallstones. There's also evidence that downing that morning cup of Joe can even control the onset of asthma attacks, stop headaches, increase athletic performance, and increase memory.

So, drink up! This stuff is good, there is no denying it! I love coffee, and if you love coffee too, I want to hear about it!

[As a disclaimer: I am not a licensed medical practitioner, nor am I prescribing coffee as a means to cure, treat, or prevent any illness, disease, or ailment.]
